• Mahim Dargah Sharif

It is not surprising to learn that Dargah has ISO certification. The first Mahim dargah in India, which traces its origins 350 years ago, is now the first place of worship to receive ISO certification.

Religious institutions are certified based on factors like security, pilgrim facilities, cleanliness, and openness in managing the shrines on a daily basis.

Undoubtedly, the certification will aid in maintaining the administrative system’s performance standards.

It should be noted that Malaysia is the only country in the world where a 100-year-old temple has received accreditation, not just a Muslim shrine. It is now obvious that any religious institution, business, or trust can obtain the ISO certification to aid the organization in achieving its goals.

I think it’s an excellent initiative, and it will be better if the Community members support the choice to obtain the certification and abide by the rules that will improve living standards, the caliber of each administration, and the facilities available to pilgrims.

A set of quality assurance and management standards called ISO certification exist. The international standards organization (ISO), established in Geneva, Switzerland in 1946, was responsible for developing the certification. The primary goal of ISO 9001:2000 is to exceed customer expectations and increase customer satisfaction.
